Recently I had a call from an elderly gentleman who lives off a basic monthly pension. He has a traditional used car warranty from Company X.
 
Earlier that week, the Airflow meter on his vehicle failed. The quote to repair the vehicle was R6,426.84. His used car warranty would only be paying R2 000 leaving him with a shortfall of R4 426.84.

He was almost in tears when he phoned me as he did not have the extra money to pay the difference and like all of us, uses his car on a daily basis. Fortunately he had a Mech-PROTECT Warranty Booster Policy.
